In a time where the world’s peace seems to be fracturing at the edges, and people are more in conflict than ever, we are finding that God is using University Church to spread the kindness of Christ to all people in our urban area. More and more, people are finding University to be a place where they can come together, embrace our full spectrum of diversity and learn to connect with one another.
Through community partnerships, grant programs, and service projects, the University Church, Campus Ministry and our Child Development Center have had a huge positive impact on some of the most disenfranchised among us. Children, especially those facing traumatic circumstances, such as being placed in foster care, losing a parent, or living with severe medical needs, are finding a loving, compassionate, and consistent support system.
People of all ages are finding a sense of family connection and community here at University. We are seeking to do our best to integrate tradition, along with finding new ways to inspire people in their personal faith journey. Connecting people to one another and to God, as well as empowering people to use their individual gifts inside and outside the church to transform the world.
