Blessing of the animals
The Annual Blessing of the Animals will take place on the first Saturday of October at 10:00 AM somewhere in the community. It is a way in which we recognize our mutual interdependence with God's creatures, the Church's witness of stewardship of creation is strengthened. The date is the Saturday closest to the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi which is October 4.

Community Thanksgiving Feast
Will be held the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving at 6:00 PM. Anyone and everyone is invited. Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and dressing will be provided. You are encouraged to bring a side dish to share. We encourage this feast to be multi-ethnic in nature so please bring a dish that represents your culture and comfort food!

Universitychurch christmas outreach
Beginning in mid-November UNIVERSITYCHURCH will be collecting Christmas gifts to share with our Palos Verdes ministry children and families. You will find little stockings in the Fellowship Hall. Inside the stockings you will find instructions concerning what is needed for the child. Some will have a child's name; others will have just a gender and age range. Please return the stocking by the last Sunday in November.
