Wednesday-Night Meal Service

College students meet on Wednesday evenings to share a meal and participate in discussions on social issues, community service projects, and group activities . Individuals and/or teams from local United Methodists churches provide a meal for upwards of 35 students. We always include vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options at every meal. The meal is dropped off at 4 PM at the Coffee Spot - 4412 S. Maryland Parkway on the south side of the church building . Earlier drop offs can be arranged by calling or 702.733.7155. If you are interested in serving, cooking or donating the items for a meal please send us an email at campusministry@universityumc.org.


Each week we are hosting a different type of cuisine Italian Night, American Night, Mexican Night and a Surprise/Ethnic Night. 

The 5 priorities for oasis volunteers

in outreach to the UNLV Campus

1. To create a place and environment where people see what a positive Christian faith is, and to create spaces and opportunities for personal growth in spirit and action.


2. To create an inclusive and joyful atmosphere that nurtures and supports all the faith journeys of students of all faith traditions, races, sexual orientations, genders, and majors. 


3. To emphasize, through our practices, resources and examples, the divine worth and dignity of each person.


4. To support students and the community in continuing to be lifelong learners, pursuing moral integrity, and seeking spiritual fulfillment


5. To serve as an affirming and nurturing link between the United Methodist Church and UNLV.
