What to expect at worship

WHAT TO WEAR?

There is no "right" way to dress for church. Wear what allows you to feel good about your worship of God. You will see shorts, t-shirts, suits, dresses, jeans, golf shirts, Hawaiian shirts and traditional clothing of other cultures.

WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE ATTEND THIS CHURCH?

When you come to University Church you will see people from all over the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Everyone is welcome here. You may sit next to a teacher, a blackjack dealer, a dancer, a lawyer, an alcoholic, your neighborhood grocery clerk or your doctor. Here you will find the rich, the poor, the homeless, the disabled, the religious, and those who aren't so sure. We could go on and on, but we really mean everybody is welcome here, and that includes you, too.

WHAT ABOUT HOLY COMMUNION/EUCHARIST?

If you are not familiar with the practice of Holy Communion, click here for more information. Jesus once said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I have come to call not the righteous but sinners.” Because of this, we do NOT believe that only certain "approved" people should take Communion.
